BENGALURU: The Karnataka authorities is ready to introduce teachings of the Bhagvad Gita as a part of ethical training in faculties throughout the state from December.
“We dropped the proposal to show Bhagvad Gita as a separate topic and determined to incorporate its teachings as a part of ethical training,” stated main and secondary training minister BC Nagesh, responding to a query from BJP’s MK Pranesh within the legislative council on Monday.
He stated the federal government has appointed an knowledgeable panel and based mostly on its suggestions from stakeholders, Gita’s teachings shall be included within the college curriculum from December. The federal government has taken steps to right errors in textbooks, together with ‘Baba Budangiri’ that was modified to ‘Inam Dattatreya Peetha’, he stated.
