

RAJKOT: The scholars of the civic body-run main faculty 93 protested on Wednesday, alleging that the NGO that had adopted the varsity created infrastructure with out taking the consent of the Nagar Prathmik Sikshan Samiti (NPSS) of the Rajkot Municipal Company (RMC).
The NPSS had handed a decision and signed an MoU with a Rajkot-based NGO in January to develop faculty infrastructure and encourage college students to take part in extracurricular actions. On Wednesday, the scholars and their dad and mom protested close to Mokaji circle demanding that the MOU be suspended. Vanita Rathod, principal of the municipal faculty informed media individuals, “The NGO doesn’t coordinate with us on growth works. They even painted the varsity with out consulting with us and adjusted infrastructure which is towards the coverage of the NPSS.” Deputy municipal commissioner Aashish Kumar mentioned, “NGOs undertake the colleges for infrastructure growth as authorities grants are restricted. They (NGOs) can change infrastructure as per the MOU, however solely with the prior permission of NPSS. The Samiti will take up the varsity’s challenge within the subsequent assembly and whether it is discovered that they violated the phrases of the MoU, we’ll take acceptable motion.”
