NEW DELHI: As many as 3,696 Bru households displaced from Mizoram have been resettled in Tripura and homes constructed for two,407 households since signing of the Bru settlement in January 2020, residence minister Amit Shah was apprised as he chaired a overview right here on Tuesday on the implementation of the settlement.
A part of the overview assembly had been Tripura chief minister Manik Saha and senior officers of the Central and Tripura governments.
Recalling the progress made since signing of the settlement, it was shared that of the overall 6,959 rehabilitated households in Tripura comprising 37,136 Bru migrants, 3,696 have been resettled already and the remaining are within the technique of resettlement. “Home building has been accomplished for two,407 households up to now, whereas it’s underway for the remaining households,” stated an MHA officer.
Shah was additional apprised concerning the concern of assorted certificates like everlasting resident of Tripura certificates (PRTC), Scheduled Tribe certificates and Aadhaar card to the Bru migrants, other than inclusion of their names within the electoral rolls of Tripura.
